Senior/Lead Full-Stack Developer

KIMCO is a scaleup digital agency providing web development services across a full suite of industry recognised platforms and frameworks.

We are looking for an experienced Senior/Lead Developer to oversee our small, but growing, development team and ensure the successful delivery and support of our project portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication and leadership skills, and have a real thirst for writing clean, maintainable code whilst embracing new and emerging technologies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Building high-quality, scalable, performant and secure websites/web applications
  • Writing clean, testable and well-documented code
  • Providing technical input and acting as a leading technical voice
  • Applying clear and decisive logical thinking
  • Leading, managing and mentoring a small team of developers
  • Reviewing and monitoring code quality
  • Completing work assigned to you on time, on-spec and free from defects
  • Ability to respond well under pressure
  • Supporting and troubleshooting live production systems
  • Be proactive in identifying technical and delivery risks
  • Ensuring unexpected issues are resolved quickly and effectively

Must Haves:

  • Experience working in a similar agency role or environment for at least 7+ years
  • Experience developing with HTML5, CSS, SASS and vanilla JavaScript
  • Experience working with JavaScript libraries and frameworks (e.g. Vue/Nuxt)
  • Experience building custom themes and plugins in WordPress
  • Experience developing with Laravel, PHP and MySQL
  • Experience building and working with API’s (GraphQL/REST/SOAP)
  • Experience building and deploying PWA’s
  • Experience configuring Node / NPM / Vite / Webpack / Docker
  • Experience provisioning and configuring local & remote server environments
  • Experience of version control workflows using GitHub

Nice to Haves:

  • Working knowledge of Livewire/Alpine.js
  • Working knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
  • Working knowledge of WooCommerce/Shopify
  • Working knowledge of other CMS platforms (e.g. Craft /October CMS)
  • Practical experience of .NET/SQL
